The brand is Swatch with a regular price of P2,350 a pair. And, the discounts range from 10 to 50%. He’s buying one; and, I requested him to buy me a pair too (my 11-year old bowling shoes were already retiring). My friend and I have the same shoe sizes - 9″. I’m not particular with the design so he could choose any design. I’m particular with the price and asked him to get the one with 50% off.

Tomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15677644008615452435noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3539901389162548988.post-82404620640593749002009-06-26T12:30:00.001+08:002009-07-19T13:27:54.895+08:00EDSA traffic
I was traveling this morning on my way to work along the southbound of EDSA (Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue). The traffic was very heavy from Kamias flyover up to White Plains Avenue. The flow of traffic was sooooooooooooooooo slow! It took me about an hour to traverse this segment of the highway, which is less than 2 kilometers long only. I just assumed that this traffic was caused by an accident

Tomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15677644008615452435noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3539901389162548988.post-66990701434960363952009-06-20T09:10:00.000+08:002009-07-18T06:15:19.839+08:00My alternative exerciseFor some time, I’ve considered bicycling as my alternative exercise to break the walking boredom. Finally, I decided to try it, despite the discouragement from wifey being a dangerous exercise. Hence, I bought a new bicycle. It’s not an expensive but one of the cheapest - less than P3,000 ($64) only. Actually, I saw one that I like with a price of P15,000 ($320), but I had second thought. I’d like to determine first whether this exercise is for me or not before buying a better and expensive unit. So, I let a night passed and thought it over.

Tomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15677644008615452435noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3539901389162548988.post-75912966967694183012009-01-24T05:30:00.002+08:002009-01-24T22:46:04.949+08:00My trip to Cagayan De Oro and Valencia Cities

Last Monday, I went to Valencia City via Cagayan de Oro City.

Valencia City, here I come!

On my way to Valencia City

Tasks accomplished in no time

Sky Watch Friday no. 29

My breakfast in Cagayan de Oro City

Flying back to Manila

Tomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15677644008615452435noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3539901389162548988.post-5826629022762074692009-01-24T05:03:00.001+08:002009-01-25T11:41:12.219+08:00My sis and niece are now blogging

My younger sister, Elvie, and her unica hija, Lizette, have already joined the crazy world of blogging.

Tomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15677644008615452435noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3539901389162548988.post-1800140094653390012009-01-23T17:00:00.000+08:002009-01-25T11:46:07.530+08:00Fuel pricesThere were several rollbacks of fuel prices:

Diesel prices in Novaliches & Faiview areas drop

New fuel price in Novaliches & Fairview areas

Big Three rolls back fuel prices

Another fuel prices rollback

Fuel prices in Cagayan de Oro and Malaybalay Cities

Fuel prices have changed

The "big 3" to cut / hike fuel prices

Tomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15677644008615452435noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3539901389162548988.post-35013746557237507942009-01-20T18:25:00.001+08:002009-01-25T11:41:37.528+08:00My father's birthday
From the airport, I decided to take the C5 Road instead of EDSA in going home. Hence, I’m using the price of the diesel in the comparison.

In Fairview and Novaliches areas on the northern outskirts of Quezon City, the current diesel prices in almost all gasoline stations, whether the “big three” or the “small players”, are P28.50 only. And, I found one station of Nation along Regalado Avenue that sells it at P28.30 (US$ 0.61) only. I also saw two stations along Commonwealth Avenue in Fairview with diesel prices of P27.20. To relieve it, I drank plenty of water albeit cold. I thought the itchiness has gone; and, I slept.
When I woke up the following morning, my voice’s hoarse, I sneezed a lot, and spewed some phlegms.

Read more . . .Tomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15677644008615452435noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3539901389162548988.post-48710489850951546092008-12-20T14:33:00.001+08:002008-12-25T06:39:55.846+08:00My blog passes the PPP test
PayPerPost is purging its network.

As a matter of fact, it has removed and will no longer accept blogs from these platforms based on the usability, navigability, and overall quality of most of their blogs:

BraveJournal

LiveJournal

Xanga

MySpace

Yahoo 360;and,

Blogsome.

Read more . . .Tomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15677644008615452435noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3539901389162548988.post-27059478586351692302008-12-17T17:40:00.002+08:002009-01-18T18:53:43.998+08:00Our latest Kia Carens fuel consumption

When was the last time I computed our Kia Carens fuel consumptions? Ah, yes. It was in July 2008 or about five months ago. The fuel consumptions then were:

Highway - 10.92 kms./li. I found its ECU services good. Hence, this year, I was planning to have my ECU at the same hospital again. However, my office mate had hers in another hospital, Capitol Medical Center (CMC). I checked its ECU packages and decided on trying this hospital.

CMC offers four ECU packages:

Package A (in-patient) at P36,900

Package B (in-patient) at P31,900

Package C (out-patient) at P11,700

Package D (out-patient) at P6,700.

Read more . . . Tomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15677644008615452435noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3539901389162548988.post-11478243713733361152008-12-14T20:00:00.001+08:002008-12-20T13:45:13.649+08:00A date with wifeySupposedly, I had a gimmick last Friday night with the losers of the Pacquiao - Dela Hoya Dream Match.
