Biking links
I'm into biking! I just started last June. And, I'm now hooked into it. Being a newbie, I'm still in the process of learning more about this wonderful sports. I also created a blog, Tom D' Biker, to show off my bikes and journal my experiences.
I'm compiling here the related links; such as the tutorials, tips and techniques, fora, etc.

My new pair of bowling shoes
Last week, a bowling friend told me about the bowling shoes on sale at the Riverbanks Mall in Marikina City. The brand is Swatch with a regular price of P2,350 a pair. And, the discounts range from 10 to 50%. He’s buying one; and, I requested him to buy me a pair too (my 11-year old bowling shoes were already retiring). My friend and I have the same shoe sizes - 9″. I’m not particular with the design so he could choose any design. I’m particular with the price and asked him to get the one with 50% off.

EDSA traffic
I was traveling this morning on my way to work along the southbound of EDSA (Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue). The traffic was very heavy from Kamias flyover up to White Plains Avenue. The flow of traffic was sooooooooooooooooo slow! It took me about an hour to traverse this segment of the highway, which is less than 2 kilometers long only. I just assumed that this traffic was caused by an accident

My father's birthday
From the airport, I decided to take the C5 Road instead of EDSA in going home. While traversing the road towards the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Fort Bonifacio, I remembered it’s my father’s birthday yesterday. So, I visited his grave in the Libingan ng mga Bayani and greeted him spiritually.

Renewing business licenses
I was in the Makati City Hall this afternoon to discuss some problems regarding the new procedure in the renewal of our Mayor’s permit and business license. The personnel I talked to was courteous and helpful; and, we found a solution to the problems.

Driving to Dagupan City
I’m going to Dagupan City tomorrow morning for a day trip. And, I’m driving my Kia Carens.
Dagupan City is an independent component city of the province of Pangasinan, on the western part of the Philippine island of Luzon. Some thought that it’s the provincial capital; but, it’s the Municipality of Lingayen. Dagupan City is known as the bangus (milkfish) capital of the country. Actually, our purpose of going there is to look for bangus suppliers or wholesalers.

Happy birthday, Jia & Lianne
Yesterday, we attended the birthday celebration of our two grand nieces, Jia and Lianne, in McDonald. The sisters were both born in the month of January seven years apart. Jia is already 8 years old and Lianne a year old.
Where can you find the lowest fuel prices?
I’m using diesel for my 2008 Kia Carens LX CRDi A/T. Hence, I’m using the price of the diesel in the comparison.
In Fairview and Novaliches areas on the northern outskirts of Quezon City, the current diesel prices in almost all gasoline stations, whether the “big three” or the “small players”, are P28.50 only. And, I found one station of Nation along Regalado Avenue that sells it at P28.30 (US$ 0.61) only. I also saw two stations along Commonwealth Avenue in Fairview with diesel prices of P27.20. I’m not sure though whether they are regular or bio-diesel.

No number coding during the 8-day long holidays
There had been conflicting reports about the number coding scheme in Metro Manila during the 8-day long holidays.
I understand this traffic scheme is not in effect during Saturdays, Sundays, and non-working holidays (regular or special). Unless there’s declaration otherwise, there’s no number coding on this period.

I'm not feeling well
Last Thursday night, I felt my throat itching a bit. To relieve it, I drank plenty of water albeit cold. I thought the itchiness has gone; and, I slept.
When I woke up the following morning, my voice’s hoarse, I sneezed a lot, and spewed some phlegms.Read more . . .
